There is that special person
Who has brought such joy to me
Who in many ways made my life
Better than it should be

I feel fortunate to have had a sister
And I think you should know her too

I think of Patsy, also known as Alice Ruth

My Dad and Patsy shared a special bond
That no amount of time will sever
It will last a lifetime and beyond
Both Dad and Patsy are gone, together forever

You were a sister full of fun
We had such a very understanding way
Time spent with you was a gift
A blessed memory filled day

For many years we’ve shared our lives
One roof we both shared and lived under
Sometimes we laughed, sometimes we cried
Through life’s issues, storms and thunder

Patsy, you truly are someone I treasure
More and more as the years slip away
We shared the same parents
As we travelled through life each day

When I think of all the times
And the dreams we held so dear
It is true, that time we shared was too few
And by remembering, I hold you near

Patsy, the pain I feel for you never goes away
I wish I could visit Heaven if only for one day
Although the doors between our worlds Is closed and we are apart
